I've got this cover on repeat! While Tom Petty's version is such a classic and such an amazing song, it's always nice to hear a new voice singing such a great song. And Tyler's voice is perfect for the song, so this is one cover that I'm actually enjoying. Great job!

I LOVED it! Honestly, Tyler's music is just what I needed to hear and I like Tom Petty so this was perfect for me. There's something just so natural and raw in Tyler's voice that i love and it always seems like he's singing right to me (i wish!).

I think anything that he does I would love... I love all of his music, covers, everything! Keep it up Tyler :)

All I can say is... WOW!

Not really a Tom Petty fan, but this song was EXACTLY what I needed to hear today. You have no idea. Tyler was absolutely incredible, as usual. His music always seems to find me when I need it the most. Been a huge fan for several years now, and this song reminded me why. Even his covers are fantastic! Heartfelt, soulful, beautiful melodies are what Tyler does best. Not many artisits can do acoustic nearly as well as he can.

Cannot wait for the new album! So exciting to just think about it even, and I would be surprised and heartbroken if this song didn't make the cut. So cool!

Ok, first off. Tom Petty is an amazing musician. He is still kickin ass, and I'm pretty sure that he is one of Tyler's influences..which is awesome...When I met Tyler two years ago, I told him that he reminded me a bit of Petty...which to any musican should be a compliment.

Now to the song; its not my favorite Tom Petty song. But it's still a good cover and he does it well. Or as well as he could for the kind of song it is, and it being acoustic.

I love Tyler and Tom...both good verisons. Both amazing songwriters and musicans.

Soo i really liked Tom Petty's version of "Don't Back Down".. even though it is very repetitive, but after i heard yours i played it probably ten times. I love it. I hope your planning on releasing it sometime soon, assuming it's not already out somewhere? And I hope to hear you in Nashville soon!

Before I comment on the song, let me just say this... Tyler looks extremely HOT in this video... He does an awesome job again. I can see where people are coming from though. It's not one of my favorite songs either, it is a bit repetitive, but thats not Tyler's fault, he's just doing a cover! But overall, Tyler ROCKS it, as usual.

I have to agree that the song is a little repetitive, even though the overall theme is quite strong. I would love to hear Tyler go electric for this cover; I think that might give it the edge it needs.

Of course it isn't my favorite choice, but I do like it, and I already know I will listen to it over and over. Tyler, you should seriously do a cover of "Running Down a Dream". I adore that song. Yeah, think about it.

By the way, I am loving how Picture Perfect and this song have been done. Do more that way!

Ok, you want an honest opinion? That was never one of my favorite Tom Petty songs to begin with... it's like it only has about 4 words, repeated over and over and over and over...

Tyler's cover of it was ok, but I wouldn't include it on the album. It would maybe be better if Tyler could make it sound grittier. Tyler's original stuff is WAY better than old Tom Petty!
